Hemodialysis patients are bound to a repetative daytime ritual.
Which becomes very boring, restricting and at times very frustrating, especially
if they want to take a holiday for more than a couple of days. Most patients
find themselves abjectly dependent on a procedure, medical facility or
group of medical personnel. But all these distressing feelings can be alleviated
by taking them out of their repetative rtitual and environment, with the
guarantee that the place they are going to on holiday, has an efficient
and reliable hemodialysis unit.
Who and where
are we?
Kusadasi is a fishing town well known for its great touristic
capacity. Located on the west coast of Turkey, only 18 kilometers from
the ancient city of Ephesus and the house of the virgin Mary, which is
a centre of pilgrimage.
Eight months ago, a 50 bedded officially approved hospital
was opened in Kusadasi.
I, Dr. Sancar Eke, as the internist of the hospital and the
responsible doctor for dialysis unit and my collegue, Dr. Figen Cetin are
directors of the hemodialysis unit, working along side very experienced
dialysis nurses and technicians. The hospital also offers a wide range
of specialist doctors in all branches of medicine with updated technical
equipment.
About the
unit
KH-Hemodialysis Unit comprises of 8 Fresenius 4008-B hemodialysis
machines. There are laboratory facilities to messure all biochemical and
hematologic parameters required for a patient in kidney failure, requiering
dialysis. We apply bicarbanate as the dialisate.
The hollow fibre dialysers are in F5 and
F6 types (1 and 1.2 m2). If required, there are different sizes of dialysers.
Invitation
We would like to invite hemodialysis patients to our hospital,
not only to continue their treatment, but most important, to enable them
to take a holiday at the same time. Give them the chance to get away from
their restricted environment at home with the added assurance that they
will receive the best medical attention on the Aegean Coast, in a stress-free,
friendly environment.
How
about accomodation / where will I stay ?
We will also, given prior notice, make it our responsibility
to find them the most comfortable, convenient accomodation. If desired,
we will help you find a hotel to stay during your holiday in Kusadasi …
We would like to emphasise that there will be much more available rooms
in hospital to welcome hemodialysis patients .
Prior notification
All you need do is notify us at least 2 weeks prior to departure.
Supply us with a brief medical report, clarifing previous hemodialysis
treatment.
